Hi there! Thanks for checking me out!
I am a happily married wife and working on our 20+ year marriage daily. We have been together since we were 19 years old and have spent the last 25 years building our family and life together. My husband is self employed and works very hard to support our family. I was a licensed realtor at one time but once I became pregnant, I started my journey at being a SAHM. We have two wonderful boys, 18 and recently graduated from high school and 16. There were lots of years of supporting sports, activities, and hobbies for our two crazies but recently things have slowed down a bit. I do have my pups and chickens to keep me busy though!
Also, I suffer from an autoimmune disease. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was a child and I have been dealing with it ever since. It has been a long journey on a laundry list of medications. However, I do the best I can to manage my disease. I am hoping to share more of this as time goes on.
Over the years as a SAHM, I participated in a MOMS Club, PTA, homeschooling programs, running a BMX track, and just keeping us busy and my boys alive! LOL! I also spent time baking, scrapbooking, crafting, and reading. I am not embarrassed to admit I love a good smut book! Currently I enjoy crafting with pine cones, reading when I can, and writing. I keep trying to nurture a love for gardening but it just has not completely blossomed yet! I can also be found glued to my phone playing word or matching games. I’ve also recently been trying my hand at refinishing furniture. Just been trying to find things to bring me joy and some purpose.
My hope is to share my experiences as I am stumbling and trying to maneuver through mid life. Becoming a middle aged woman is a tough gig! Our bodies are changing more than we would like to admit, our kids are getting older, we are searching for new purpose and peace in who we are and nobody wants to talk about it. I am hoping to help others see they are not alone and though this stage of life can be messy and frustrating, there has to be comradery and humor to share.
